Ten Sixty Six MCC was formed in August 2004 by Ian & Brian and officially sanctioned on the 7th October 2004. With over 30 years riding experience between them they had been considering joining a bike club for some time, and in the end decided to start up there own club so that they could organise events.
Originally the meets started at the Iron Horse in Stetchford but it was decided the pub was not suitable for a bike meet so they moved to the Old Royal Oak in Hockley Heath and went on from strength to strength. In the first year they organised:-

Birmingham Tsunami Charity Run,
The Worlds Largest Unofficial St Georges Day Parade,
Wednesday Night Bike Meet @ the Old Royal Oak,
Mass Ride Outs 1 & 2,
Bike Show at the Old Royal Oak.

In February 2006 Ian & Brian decided to pursue other interests and handed the club over to a new management team.

1066-MCC moved from the Old Royal Oak to the Rose & Crown @ Portway in 2006 and continued with its Sunday Ride Outs, Wednesday Bike Meet & of course the St Georges Day Parade which over the years has grown in strength.

On the 7th October 2006 we held our 2nd Birthday Bash at the Rose & Crown which was a great success.

2007 promises to be an eventful one with ride outs to Wales, Hastings & Stonehenge to name but a few.
We are a club run by bikers for bikers…
